“Another month of huge traffic gains helped cement the Examiner’s position as one of the major success stories in conservative media this year,” said Howard Polskin, president and chief curator, TheRighting.  “September also marked another month of significant increases of millions of unique visitors to three major mainstream news websites because of noteworthy news events like the revelations about the Ukrainian phone call.  More audiences may have been seeking original reporting and analysis about the unsettled political landscape from sources that have been considered trustworthy for decades.”

Among the three leading US mainstream news brands, CNN attracted 14 million more YOY uniques in September for a 13% change; the New York Times was up 7.5 million (+9% change); and the Washington Post increased three million (+4% change).
