Unique Visitors to Conservative-Friendly Social Sites Soar

February  23,  2021 – Year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors to Newsmax rose 286% in January 2021, making it the third consecutive month that Newsmax has registered triple-digit YOY gains in traffic.  In January 2020, Newsmax attracted 3,181,000 unique visitors, while in January 2021 the site drew 12,265,000 million unique visitors.

For the second consecutive month, Foxnews.com experienced a YOY audience decline as it registered a 15% decrease in unique visitors compared to January 2020.  However, Foxnews.com remained the most visited conservative website that TheRighting tracks with 95,014,000 unique visitors in January 2021.

“Newsmax was able to capitalize on a robust January news environment that included the January 6 insurrection, Georgia run-off elections and the Biden  inauguration to build audience,” said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting.  “An increasing number of conservative news consumers appear to be turning to Newsmax as a source for news, opinion and analysis. Surprisingly, Foxnews.com stumbled in a month filled with historically significant news events that should have increased their audience.”
