Washington Free Beacon Records Huge Gains in March Traffic;

Unique Visitors to Trump Website Also Soar for First Time in Months

April 29,  2022, New York, NY – Year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors to the Washington Free Beacon soared by 102%,  according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of March 2022 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.   The site attracted almost 1.2 million unique visitors last month, up from 579,000 in March 2021.

The website of former President Trump, DonaldJTrump.com, also saw a healthy spike in March traffic for the first time since April 2021 when TheRighting began tracking visitors to the site. Unique visitors rose from 283,000 in March 2021 to 691,000 in March 2022 for a 144% gain.  However, it is still significantly below 2020 traffic when the site often attracted more than 10 million unique visitors a month.

“While some conservative news outlets experienced an  increase in traffic, I was surprised that so many websites saw their audiences decline,” said Howard Polskin, President and Curator, TheRighting.  “I had anticipated the war in Ukraine would drive more eyeballs to news websites in the first full month of conflict.  Even Foxnews.com and CNN.com lost visitors. Audiences instead may have turned their attention to cable news networks for reporting and video from the field.”
