TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The right has leaped to the defense of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker. In a commencement speech at conservative Benedictine College last week, Butker urged women to embrace the role of homemaker and wife.  The NY Post’s Kirsten Fleming wins the award for the most offensive justification of Butker’s remarks: “I’m a big believer in knowing and speaking to your audience. And his audience was not the University of Chicks with Hairy Armpits”…Whoever is composing The Donald’s Truth Social posts needs a punctuation lesson. Check out one of the latest error-splattered posts that wouldn’t get a passing grade in 7th grade English…New in bookstores: George Stephanopoulos's The Situation Room.  Subtitle says it all: “The inside story of presidents in crisis.” The “Good Morning America” anchor examines dozens of White House denizens in their darkest hours including John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, and most notably Donald Trump during the Jan. 6 insurrection…Cliff Sims, ex-Trump White House Director of Message Strategy, just came out with his second tome and I hope it’s better than its snooze-inducing title: The Darkness Has Not Overcome.  Inside, Sims promises to reveal  lessons he learned about  faith and politics while cruising through the halls of right wing power.  His first book, “Nest of Vipers,” published in 2019, received a positive review from yours truly for its fast-paced insider account of the first two years of the Trump administration including a well-deserved devastating portrait of Sean Spicer…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. By Ben Shapiro: There are now calls for Harrison Butker to be removed from the Chiefs roster for the upcoming NFL season from some radical Left fans and their allies. Why? Biden’s Latest Border “Fix” Is Nothing But More Kabuki Theater

In yet another bid to seem like it’s doing something about the border, Team Biden says it’s getting faster in processing some asylum claims for some illegal migrants. Without any hard sign that it’ll actually be rejecting those claims, which are overwhelmingly bogus. Cue the world’s tiniest trumpet.

The Loony Language of the Left

Trump does not have, as he famously said during his first presidential campaign, “the best words.” To the contrary, the liberal elite has developed a lexicon far vaster, more confusing, and more insidious than any conservative could muster today.

The Feminization of Campus Protests

By highlighting the deaths of the young, Hamas has found its way into the hearts of women. Even though it may not be politically correct to say so, it is clear that the maternal instinct in women engenders great sympathy for suffering children. As a consequence, with Hamas depicting Jews as child killers, it is eliciting an emotion that resonates with women.

Trump and the Significance of the Wildwood Rally

Trump’s detractors called the attendees a cult, which is not only designed to insult but also wrong. What was in evidence in vivid fashion in Wildwood — in decidedly blue-state New Jersey — can only be described as a movement.
